Winter is in full effect, which is why you can see the start of another snowfall we received yesterday. I love this sweater, originally purchased for Valentine's Day after Zoey was born (3 years ago already, holy cow). It was an investment piece for sure, but it's so versatile. I'm dying to pair it with a fedora & over the knee boots for fall, but also have a few other ideas for it once this bumpcake disappears. Since we've been packing nonstop on the weekends, I've been able to put together outfits a little more effortlessly & complete a final closet purge (there's still tons of stuff on my facebook page for sale). This look was one of those that just sorta feel together, my fav kind ;)

What's New Wednesday
A new edition of 'What's New Wednesday', albeit a little late. This cold is killing me, I've been pounding tea for days with no improvement. Hoping to turn the corner sooner than later, fingers crossed on that one! Here's what's new in the wardrobe department of my life...a touch of blue, some new sneakers, & a fancy new headband. All mom-approved staples ;)
Waffle knit thermal (via F21) |
New sneakers with a touch of blue for baby boy (Golden Goose via eBay). |
Couldn't resist this chic headband from a blogger I love (via Target). |

House Hunters
Sharing the perfect house hunting outfit today. It's so crazy to think we only physically walked through like 7 houses before picking the best one we could find that would fit our growing family & our budget flawlessly. The Mr. had been scouring through homes online for months, trying to find something that would check all (or at least a majority) of our boxes. The one we chose is above & beyond what we thought we would find during this slow time for real estate (winter) & although it doesn't have everything we wanted, it's going to be perfect for us. We're in a neighborhood with loads of young families & close to family...we're so excited to move in!
I knew we'd be in & out of the vehicle/removing shoes to walk through houses, so I picked something easy enough for a busy morning. This sweater is super thick & warm, so no coat was necessary (less to carry, huge perk). We left the girls with my sister-in-law so we could focus our full attention on the task at hand. We haven't made a huge decision like this without sitting down on a bar stool with a beer in hand to discuss it...ever! We used the time in the car on the way back to discuss everything & by the time we pulled into the driveway, we had the realtor writing up an offer :)

Runaway Vehicle
Monday, ugh! I'm nursing a cold & the weather is brutal, making it all the harder to get myself outta bed this morning. We've had so much ice & snow lately that when I was working on this outfit post, my vehicle literally started to slide down the driveway! Luckily, I caught it in time & no one was the wiser.
Back to this outfit...gimme all the layers lately!!! I'm 32 weeks prego today & layers have become a necessity. I'm cold one moment & boiling the next, which is all par for the course around this point if I remember correctly. I've only ever paired this cape with shades of black, but wanted to switch it up a bit with something more wearable on the daily. I love the tartan print paired with these cognac boots!

Photo Friday: The Beginning of 2019
Just a small recap of the past two months. Not too many photos, but definitely BIG moments for our growing family. We sold our first home a little over a month ago, purchased a new one, had made family time an absolute priority, celebrated a third birthday & Valentine's Day, & as of last weekend, potty trained our oldest. I'm putting extra effort into making these last few months (now singular...wow) count, there is so much we'll miss about this area.
SOLD! Saying goodbye to our very first home has been tough (thanks pregnancy hormones)! |
House hunting adventures wearing Free People & sipping on my fav frozen mocha :) |
Couldn't resist this ribbon hair clip (via forever 21). |
Friday night pizza night + family time. Go try to the family pack combo from East Sides, it's a great deal :) |
Valentine's Day prep for our girls (leggings from Target) |
Snow afternoon memories...hot cocoa + timbits + snuggles |
All ready for the girls to wake up to... |
Zoey loves to bake, especially cupcakes! |
New sneakers to celebrate turning 30 weeks (golden goose via eBay). |
Potty training success! This was our third attempt & it seems to have stuck :) |

Weekend of Isolation
What a crazy, strange week it's been since last I've posted. We had a pretty isolated weekend, as our youngest got pink eye & we were potty training our oldest. I stayed home Tuesday with both girls & had to pick them up early yesterday, as Zo developed pink eye! Little weekly update for you there...
As for today's outfit, I figured the only way that you can change a gloomy day is to pile on loads of bright, cheery color. This sweater is one of the best that I own for just that & I'm very sad to retire it for the remainder of this winter (this bump it outta control). I've received a few more new arrivals lately, spring updates will be headed this way soon :)

Valentines Week: On Valentine's Day, We Wear White!
Happy Valentine's Day! I started the day off with two babes who decided not to wake up before my alarm went off (Sadie has been up around 4:30am for two weeks straight...ugh), so best gift ever, right?! I woke them up to open a few gifts from gramma & grampa, which put them in the best of moods :) I have a short day at the office, due to appointments & am so looking forward to logging in some QT with my oldest gal.
I decided on an all white outfit, mostly centered around these gorg rhinestone heart earrings (that are decent dupes to the real/real expensive deal). I love letting my accessories do most of the outfit legwork, especially when my wardrobe consists of mostly easy neutrals as of late. Fall & Winter are good for that easy neutral mix & matching. I hope you all find a small way to celebrate Valentine's Day, even for those of you who are holiday haters ;)

What's New Wednesday
What's New Wednesday, back just in time for Valentine's Day tomorrow. Some of these you saw yesterday (oops) & a few you will see tomorrow. I know, I know...I'm working on being better at scheduling posts/content (it's a constant struggle). I've had these outfit ideas pre-planned for over a month now & was just awaiting their arrivals. The final pieces (along with some valentine's day gifts) got here Friday, thankfully...

Valentine's Week: A Loveday Lunch
Day Two of Valentine's Week brings us to a casual, yet festive outfit, for a lunch date. If you've followed along for awhile, you're well aware the Mr. & I prefer day dates over evening ones. We enjoy making a day out of it, instead of packing it all in in the evening time when it feels more like a 'chore' than a 'choice' to make time for each other. I chose this outfit for such an occasion because it seemed effortless. Keeping everything basic really allows for these heart-shaped acrylic earrings to stand out...the perfect statement piece to welcome home baby boy too, don't you agree?
