Willow

For the life of me, I cannot figure out why I fell so hard for these sneakers.  I've never seen a pair that are so casual, yet so chic at the same time.  Check back tomorrow to see how I styled mine...

Wind-Blown

The insane gusts of wind didn't deter me from snapping some quick photos, especially of this jacket.  It may be one of my wardrobe-favorites and clearly, it doesn't get worn enough...

I Am Restless, Looking for You...

These pants would be the perfect pants to wear this weekend. Apparently, they are sold out all over Canada (skirt too, I just love the print).  I can't really be that upset, I don't blame people for loving them as much as I do...

Color Me Happy

My attempt at the trend from yesterday's post (see it here) and I must say, these bangles are quite the accessory.  I'm on the hunt for a few bright colored ones to offset the clear and at this point, I really wish I had a nice tan wrist for a better contrast...

Mixed Media

Winter dressing at it's finest, which means I pulled all my warmest wardrobe pieces & piled them on top of each other.  The combination of my faux fur jacket, angora sweater, faux leather pants, & suede ankle boots proved to be both a comfortable & practical outfit...

So much for sleeping in on my day off...the dogs are on a schedule so before I head out the door to walk them, I'll leave you with the finished product of my latest DIY.  Has anyone else attempted these yet?

Happy long weekend for us Canadians (not to leave out the American's, but not many of you get President's Day off)! Juts finished up a few hours at work and now it's time to start the weekend...

DIY: Aztec Printed Denim

This is the first DIY project that I've attempted that hasn't gone exactly according to plan. To be honest, I was about two seconds away from tossing these in the trash.  What started out as a simple iron-on project, ended up being a bit more complicated...

1. You will need: a pair of  plain denim jeans (mine are F21) & iron-on transfer paper (Wal-Mart)
2. Pre-wash the denim & select the design you want to transfer (Images found here)
3.  Pre-heat the iron & begin the transfer process.  This is where the project went awry...
4.  Since the iron-ons didn't adhere properly (read: smudges, burns, missing parts), I was forced to use Puff Paint
5.  Let the Puff Paint dry overnight and voila! Now you have your own aztec printed denim :)
*I almost prefer the puff paint as it gives the design a bit of dimension:) *

Try it out, definitely worth the effort ;)

** Disclaimer:  It has recently come to my attention that the images used in this DIY were in fact from a fellow blogger (see them HERE) & my so-called 'friend' tried to pass them off as his own...be careful who you trust, lesson learned!
