In the spirit of warm weather today, here's some warm-weather photos from last summer. Ok you caught me, mostly I'm just cleaning off my camera cards in preparation for baby girl #2 (you can come anytime sweet girl). Last summer was a blast...Zoey spent a lot of time in Iowa, started solids, & joined mom & dad on the patio. I cannot believe we've reached the back end of May & I'm finishing up my last week of work before mat leave again...

Pretty Pullovers

Another birthday present from my parents- the perfect poncho purchased from my friend's boutique just before she closed it. It's the cosiest material, light weight, & perfect for layering. I've worn it several times, but this is the first it's made its appearance on the blog (shocking I know). I chose red accessories just for an extra pop on a rainy day...

Rainy Day with Hudson's Bay

Photo Friday: Zoey's Football-Themed First Birthday

Finally sharing photos from Zoey's football-themed first birthday party. Since her birthday landed on Super Bowl weekend, we thought we'd make it into a super bowl party as well. We had about 40 guests come to celebrate with us throughout the day & the birthday girl had a blast playing with all her cousins and baby friends. Family from Iowa made the trip & it meant a lot to have everyone under one roof for our girl. I was able to reuse a lot of the football decorations from Zoey's gender reveal, which made it even more special.  We had a make-shift photo booth and a kids station (ring pops & temporary tattoos) and served football snacks, with the main meal being a DIY sandwich bar.
