Happy Halloween! Last night we went to a friend's for a Halloween get-together & it was a blast! Plans for today include a long run, scary movie-a-thon, & handing out candy to trick-or-treaters :)  Here are some photos from last night, hope everyone has a great Halloween :)

Near the beginning of the month I did a post on Halloween accessories (seen here) to help get everyone excited for the upcoming spooky holiday (ok, it was mostly to help contain my own excitement).  Finally the time has come & I couldn't be more thrilled :)  I snapped some photos of some Halloween inspiration around my place today, pumpkin included....

Urban Jungle

Everyone knows Leopard-inspired pieces are on trend for fall, but most stylists advise those trying the trend  to stick to accessories & 'play it safe'.  As fate (& luck) would have it, I found the perfect leopard-print bag on Ebay a few months ago.  Since then, I have been seeing leopard print pants, coats, blazers, & sweaters all over the web. I was continually drawn to these leggings I discovered in the back corner of my local H&M. Finally, I broke down & bought them, deciding they would look amazing with my newly arrived navy platforms. If you're wondering how this trend could work for you, I've included some additional inspiration, enjoy :)

Shoe-sational

Will this dreary weather ever end?! Luckily, I found a quick minute to snap some daily outfit photos before the clouds rolled in.  The temperature is abnormally warm & I only wish I was able to enjoy the weather more.  My outfit, like my title, is inspired by shoes...I scored this quirky shoe-printed skirt at Zara over the summer for $6 & fell in love with it's print.  Because it's such a light weight skirt & summery print, I paired it with tights & a jacket for an easy transition into fall :)

Aviator Jacket & Tights (H&M),  Skirt (Zara), Oxford (F21)

Pretty & Polished

I woke up to yet another dreary day & decided to dress a little more girly to counteract the weather.  I had yet to wear my vintage polka dotted dress that I re-hemmed myself...it looked a little too conservative with both the long hemline & the high collar.  Here's how I styled it....

Dress (Etsy), Leopard Belt (vintage), Necklace (Dogeared)
Watch (Casio)
Clogs (Urban Outfitters), Tights (F21)
Panther Ring (Asos)

Fallen Leaves

I was up early this morning for a work-out & a quick trip to Starbucks before work.  Gotta enjoy Fall before Winter is here, which is evidently just around the corner as I had to scrape my car windows already & most of the trees are almost bare. My nail polish, parka, & blouse all incorporate the colors of fall.  Unfortunately, it was too dark & too rainy to take some much over-do outside photos :( The weather is predicted to be somewhat mild (double digits) this week so be prepared to see a lot of stocking-inspired outfits from me....

Tortoise shell watch (Urban Outfitters)
Rose Ring (Sirens)
Shearling-lined Booties (Ebay)
Parka (New Look), Rust Blouse (Zara)
Leather shorts (Etsy), Tights (Forever21)

 Happy Monday :)
