Photo Friday: HOP!

Easter re-cap, just in time to ring in Canada Day long weekend haha.  I just can't seem to keep relevant content coming, but that's ok....that's why this space is reserved for me & my timelines :)

Our first easter as a family of five, made extra special by Bo's early arrival, the new house, & gramma and grampa's visit.  We dyed eggs, made cupcakes, celebrated Easter with family, had an indoor egg hunt, & were so very spoiled by the Easter bunny.  It was hands down one of the best Easter's I've ever had...

The girls had a blast with the egg kit this year, not to worry... mama was in charge of the glitter ;)

You Know When You Know

This mama has a hair appointment today to do something a little drastic.  It's been well over a year since I went brunette & I'm in need of change desperately.  I'd love to feel more like myself & after three babies, I know this all takes time.  What can I say, you know when you know.  Stay tuned for more on my hair later...

This outfit.  This dress has been a post-baby staple since Zo was about 4 months old.  I've worn it countless times, one of those easy pieces that you can toss on & not look too sloppy (huge bonus right now with the hot weather).  Paired it with a chic pair of flats & some statement posts for a dressier feel.  These are the exact outfits you can find me in, M-F...

What's New Wednesday

FINALLY getting around to updating this space! My camera card is FULL & it's making me realize how behind I am (these are from April FYI, gulp).  We had a house full of sickness, back-to-back visitors, & a surprise party for my MIL to throw/decorate.  Mix in three small children & the days just get away from me (oh yeah, & the mounds of laundry to climb)...

No, the title of this post is not a typo.  It's an abbreviation for '3 Days After Bo'.  This is what I wore out to an early dinner for the Mr.'s birthday (April 18th).  We tried a new (to us) restaurant that wasn't what I would categorize as 'kid friendly'.  However, they went above & beyond to cater to the girls with coloring books/crayons & smaller portioned meals for them (hello grilled cheese Sammies).  I had my first beer back & an amazing meal.  If you're ever in the Peterborough area, head on over to The Publican House...you will be far from disappointed!

I had loads of DM's & messages praising me for leaving the house so soon after baby.  Here's how I see it- momming is hard when you're home & hard when you're out, so you might as well be out. And don't kid yourself, these are still my maternity jeans & I was totally wearing the mesh underwear/industrial pad combo from the hospital ;)

Save Some of That

Floaty tunics are a go-to for me during post-pregnancy.  I bought this one after Sadie was born & it's carried me through since.  The print & colors were too good to resist, not to mention the discounted price on Nordstrom rack ;) I paired it with these white earrings & a pair of flats for some errand-running.  The wind here has been crazy, so it ballooned it up a bit more than usual....that's ok, I'm totally embracing the post-baby bod this time around.  I am so, so incredibly grateful for this body of mine...it's created & carried three healthy babies in the past four years.  This means, until I drop a few lbs & feel more like myself, there will be a surplus of oversized everything...

Mama's Day

The exact outfit I wore on Mother's Day.  We made an impromptu road trip back to our old city to surprise my MIL.  She was so surprised & thankful to see us, especially since it was our first road trip with all three kiddos.  That didn't even dawn on me until she mentioned it...it's just second nature for us to get out of the house & go.

This outfit was perfect for road tripping'.  Comfy enough to lounge around & heavy enough to not need a jacket.  It was a perfect day spent all together, with pitstops at Panera & an amazing homemade dinner from the Mr.  I also got to select my own gifts this year (score), but more on that later...
