33

This is 33.  This by far has to have been the crappiest birthday, which sounds terrible to admit.  However, I got a full day with the girls & Mr., an amazing meal (even if it was out of to-go containers), loads of snuggles from both girls (they're both super tired & not feeling well), a piece of birthday cake all to myself (double chocolate of course), & some pretty amazing presents.  Our life right now is filled with uncertainty...when we someone schedule a showing, when we will sell, etc. that it was nice just to enjoy each other.  Plus, how much fun were we really planning on having at 23 weeks prego with two toddlers?! Yesterday should have left me feeling unsatisfied with how the day went, but instead, I felt the opposite.  I am so completely grateful for this life right now, exactly how it is.  33 is going to be a really amazing year for me, as we plan to welcome our first boy & final baby, relocate a few hours away, find/begin a brand new job, & spend so much more time with family. Cheers!

Holiday Dressing: Low-Key Christmas Eve

Merry Christmas Eve! We kicked off the morning with candy-cane shaped breakfast, followed by nail painting & cupcake making (for Santa, of course).  This year we have one under the weather little lady, fingers crossed she turns the corner this afternoon.  Needless to say, this outfit didn't last too long & I'm currently cozied up in festive leggings and a sweater.  Off to wrap a few very last minute gifts for tomorrow & prep dinner for tonight...

Photo Friday: December 2018

I think I say this every year, but where does the month of December go?! It's here & gone before we realize it! All the prep of de-cluttering, packing, painting, & cleaning is over with at our house, meaning it's officially on the market.  Let's see how this mama can handle showing appointments with two toddlers, two dogs, & a ever-growing baby bump (fingers crossed).

With all of that going on, I still feel like we've made some really great memories this month.  We're making a conscious effort to just stop & enjoy each other, which is really what the holiday season is about.  Stay tuned next week, I have a few more holiday-themed outfits lined up & I'll be recapping the last few months of 2018.

When I spotted these, I knew they'd be the perfect earrings for the holidays (via F21)!
Sadie was up at 4am in Iowa, so we wrapped all the presents one morning!
Christmas cookie decorating while visiting friends in NY! The girls had a blast!
The kids did a better job than me, so much fun!
Dunkin holiday coffees for the early trek home :)
This ever-growing baby boy bump that I just cannot get enough of (sweater: U.O.)
The sign is officially up & we've had numerous showings already, Santa please bring us a buyer ;)
The girls & I found some festive leggings to wear over the holidays (mine: F21, theirs: Walmart).

Holiday Dressing: Casual Company Luncheon

I wore this to our company luncheon last Friday afternoon.  It was a nice change of pace from the traditional green & red color combo I'm normally drawn to as Christmas approaches.  Loads of colors & layers, this outfit will definitely put you in the holiday spirit!  Decided on these red tassel earrings I originally bought for Sadie's 1st Birthday party & my white sock booties for some extra flare.  One last note: there are only 5 days left until Christmas!

Our 2018 Christmas Cards

Once I became a mama, I was so excited to start the tradition of sending holiday cards.  It's a fun way to get excited for the holidays & an excuse to take family photos every year.  This is only our second year sending cards, but it's a tradition I plan on keeping.  I decided to use Vista Print for the second year in a row, mostly because their cards are excellent quality & they ship fast (I got these in 3 days).  I love their simple, yet effective design choices & was immediately drawn to this one once we picked the perfect photo.  This post is in no way sponsored, just sharing our experience of a great product :)

Holiday Dressing: Christmas Card Photos

Holiday Dressing continues!  I wore this festive, yet casual outfit for our family photos we took last month.  Luckily, we had some snow on the ground & it looked beautiful at the Christmas tree farm location we chose.  I scored this sweater from Zara & love it so much that I've worn it several times since.  It's the perfect, cozy piece for the holiday season...

Holiday Dressing: Seeing Santa

It's that time again, where I share simple (yet festive) outfits for various holiday activities.  The countdown to Christmas is on & we have a few very excited little girls at our house.  I wore this outfit on Saturday to visit Santa at the mall, taking a much needed time-out from cleaning/prepping the house to sell.  We officially list this week-eek! What's on my list? A quick & easy sell so we can start the fun part of the process...finding a new home!

Sip, Sip, Hooray!

Sip, sip, HOORAY! For coffee, that is.  I wore this outfit last month in Iowa for a fun-filled day of seeing almost all of my favorite people.  Started the day off at coffee with my girlfriends from high school, back to the house to wrap presents, a play date at my best friend's house, a walmart spree while the girls napped with grandpa, & finally, to a family get-together....phew! It was the perfect outfit for all activities, with jut the right amount of 'extra' to not be overdressed at any point in my day.

The Teddy

Pretty pleased with myself for snagging this coat.  I've sorta been refraining from leaping onto the trend bandwagon lately, but I just couldn't resist this one. This coat has become my go-to....I wear it almost daily.  I took it on it's first spin outta the box about a month ago to Niagara Falls/Buffalo, NY on our little anniversary getaway.  It worked the entire trip, from lunch to sightseeing & even at the Bears/Bills football game the next day.  If you were refraining for any reason from the teddy bear coat trend, just give in already...
