Photo Friday: This Past January

I have finally made it to 2020. Which, I guess if we have learned anything, is not something to celebrate at the moment.  It's chaotic out there & since we're all stuck inside staying safe, why not blog?!

2019 really was one for the books...we completed our family, started new traditions, did so much exploring in our new city, made new friends, celebrated some huge milestones, & above all, did it all together.  Here's a little recap into the first month of 2020, which really did start out just as strong...

These balloons lasted for weeks!!!
New Years Day is for coffee, pjs, & confetti poppers!
Fitting in, a Christmas present from the Mr. (Ptbo northern Originals)
Birthday gifts for moi (sweater & hair clips, both Zara)
Bo's Christmas present from Santa....a mini ball pit (via TJ Maxx)
Birthday prezzies from the parental unit (sweater: free people, sunnies: ray ban)
Birthday gifts from my Mother-in-Law (via Lululemon).
These boots....best birthday gift ever (to me, from me...via Zara).
Snuck away to celebrate a friend's wedding a few hours away, the hotel was the cutest (Walper Hotel).

Snow chalk from Target Dollarspot (the girls had a blast).
Our very first snow-woman in all her Tye-dye glory :)

December

I didn't take a ton of photos in December, oddly enough! It was a busy month, traveling back from Iowa, starting our Elf in the Shelf, visits with Santa, & all that holiday shopping/wrapping/gift giving. I watched a fair share of holiday movies & just really made the most of this last time being off during this magical time of the year...

Festive solo Saturday Night watching all the holiday movies I could find on Netflix (slippers: forever21).
We made Bo's ornament for the tree, it turned out so well (kit from Homesense).
Crazy Elf on the Shelf (girls are still missing this).
Thumbprint cookies from my hometown bakery, frozen & saved for Santa :)
This candle was the best holiday scent & filled the entire house (via Target).
DIY bottles of Apple Pie for some last minute gifts
The girls' first gingerbread house (not bad for toddlers).
Auntie Amie sent this & it arrived on Christmas Eve!
The Mr.'s take on reindeer sandwiches, the girls were so surprised!
The calm before the storm!
Loving our new stockings this year (via Target).
Happy Birthday to me!
Got the girls matching rainbow sweats, they are the cutest (via Roots).
New Year's Eve snow storm!
NYE dinner at home is one of my fav tradtions with the kids.
We filled up 75 balloons & did a mini balloon drop at 8pm!
Balloons for dayssssss!
