Sorry ladies & gents, it's one of those days where I feel too uninspired to put together anything better than what I have on. Old Man Winter seems to be here for the long haul, with signs of him leaving no where in sight! However, I have started to slowly lighten my color palette with more shades of gray & white instead of darker shades of black. I only wish I could have paired this with some killer heels instead of chunky boots....
I'm Wearing: Blazer (Costa Blanca)/ Tee (Vince via Shopbop)/ Scarf (F21)/
I can already tell it's going to be a productive, yet uneventful weekend. It's freezing outside, so you will most likely find me curled up on the couch with a warm Starbucks latte catching up on my shows. Unfortunately, my puppy wants to do anything but stay inside...

There's just something about polka dotted frocks that I can't quite put my finger on. Some of my favorite polka dotted pieces started popping up on runways during fall 2009 (peruse the fashion archives for looks by Maison Martin Margiela, Emanuel Ungaro, or Chloe), but I've always been reminded of spring when wearing spotted pieces. What might not be visible in these photos are the irradescent white polka dots, that seem to give this vintage blouse the perfect amount of sheen. With this added bit of glitz, this blouse seems to create the perfect balance to wear with my drab winter frocks. TGIF dolls :)
I originally bought this vintage knit for Spring, but couldn't resist wearing it early. The pop of color was so unexpected next to my leopard scarf, especially the combination of the pink monogram on the scarf against the lavender sweater. I love the girlyness that color combination creates, doubled by pink nail polish & a purple-stoned ring. Although it lacks luster & creativity, this outfit was much needed for a casual day around the office....
When I bought this silk scarf in China, I never dreamed of wearing it in my hair. I sort of just threw this outfit together in a hurry, which, as most of you know, never happens (I'm a lay-my-clothes-out-the-night-before type of girl). I ended up wearing my favorite print combination- bold, graphic stripes & florals. I've had a hell of a week & it's only Wednesday....

For me, nothing beats the classic look of a blazer paired with multiple accessories. A fairly routine outfit consisting of neutrals & basics, with the addition of some edgy jewelry, gave these green khaki cargos a bit more edge (more of a tough, military persona if you will). I've been asked how I select my jewelry, and to be honest, I just sort of grab pieces & go (unlike my clothing). I've really started to expand my collection, which makes this process a whole lot easier each morning.
I'm Wearing: Blazer (H&M)/ Shoulder top (Shopbop)/ Cargo Pants (F21)/ Boots & Belt (Ebay)/ Bracelet (Cheap Monday)/ Rings (La Dama & etsy)/ Watch (Urban Outfitters)

Last time I wore this sweater (see it here), I completely styled it for fall. Lately, I'm slowly trying to make the transition to Spring by adding small touches here & there. I hope I'm not the only one guilty of borrowing a sweater from my guy for that over-sized, comfy feel....

Have you ever loved something, wanted to purchase it immediately (but not have the funds) only to have it disappear forever?! I most definitely have, several times, but the most memorable were the shoes featured in Prada's Spring 2008 Fairy Collection. I loved the incorporation of flowers, colors, & wavy shapes...so magical & right up my alley! I was on a college student's budget then, so by the time I had saved up enough money, they were all sold out. Needless to say, I've been stalking Ebay ever since trying to hunt a pair down. Then, the other day I found these!
NEVER SAY NEVER!

No, I am not crazy for dressing like this. Believe it or not, these sweater tights are warmer than some of my pants, giving me the versatility of wearing skirts during the winter months. I took an overall simple & neutral outfit that consisted of a chunky cable knit, bodycon skirt, & sweater tights, and made it my own with a few choice accessories. A touch of snakeskin (belt) added a bit of edgey color & my new Spell charm bracelet added a touch of boho-chic to the ensemble. Is it just me or did this week fly by?! Hope everyone has a great weekend :)
