Work From Home

Working from home (aka taking care of Zo, two dogs, & a majority of the housework) has proved to be more 'work' than actually going to work.  However, I wouldn't trade this year off for anything…these are the moments you never get back.  My work attire has changed, meaning there are days I don't change out of my pjs.  It makes sense to buy some cute ones then, right?

Timeless

A classic blue button-up, just a tad oversized… as timeless as you can get with a garment.  Mama style has been as easy as possible, mostly because I'm left changing half way through the day any way.  Mostly, these earrings have been my go-to piece for the summer…such a fun, seasonally-appropriate way to add some sparkle without being too overdone in this heat.

Photo Friday: Iowa in June

Photos from our road trip back to Iowa in June.  We went specifically to watch one of favorites wed the love of her life & I'm so happy I got to witness it.  Most of my friends from high schools were there with their husbands, new babies, or babies on the way…it literally brought tears to my eyes to have us all together, even though life has dispersed us all over the country (and out of it for a few of us).  Anyway, big plans this weekend…I'm updating my sale section on ebay with A TON of designer goodies...

Still not sure why it took me so long to get into the Free People brand, but better late than never. I've sorta become obsessed...every piece fits perfectly & goes together effortlessly. It makes wearing the brand worth it, especially as a new mama. These booties were the perfect lookalikes, scored for a fraction of the price from good 'ol F21 & pair with all this new loot...

How to Fake a Tan...

How to fake a tan lesson 1: Wear shades of white lighter than your skin.  I thought by having the summer 'off' I would be a bronzed beauty.  Def not the case with a little one that has to be kept in the shade.  Oh well, I've embraced my lack of a tan & as we approach the end of summer, have dealt with the fact that it just isn't happening this year...
