New Year, New You!

I never make any new year's resolutions.  There's something to be said about loving where you are in life, exactly as is.  Not to say there isn't room for improvement, because obviously there is always room to do something better in our lives.  I've entered 2019 with a list of stepping stones...sell house, find new house, wrap up work, have baby, etc.  All these steps/tasks are huge, life-changing events & therefore, I decided not to add any more expectations to my plate.  If we're really pressing the topic, I'd love to just be present, to just take everything in & feel like I fully experienced it, was really in the moment...you know? With that in mind, I took a risk with a new lip shade.  Was it my favorite or best look? Nah, but it was fun to try out!  I'm unsure if I'll feel like testing this hue out again anytime soon, but it was liberating to embrace something new...

Better Than This

Does it get much better than this? Not for this mama. I’ve been wearing this free people thermal a ton lately, the color is just this perfect shade of cobalt. I first gave this outfit a spin when we went to the hospital to meet our sweet nephew (I packed a lot of blue for just that reason) & have since worn it to numerous playgroups with the girls. Casual perfection & optimal outfit opportunity, shout out to the Easter Bunny for this one 😘.

Tropical Gladiator

The title of this post really explains what I was going for here. Every day, something else seems to fit me again & it feels like it's brand new (it's been a long two years of missing my closet). I'm not sure if I'm the only one, but F21's dresses keep getting shorter & shorter...& I never even attempt to buy the ones with 'mini' in the description. I can usually counteract their shortness by sizing up, but even that isn't cutting it lately. Cue knee-high gladiator sandals & a tropical kimono...sorta counteracts how short this dress is. Obviously worn out for errands & lunch, this wouldn't cut it at the park 😉

The Eve Before Sadie

The day before Sadie was born, meaning the final bump outfit post you'll see until we decide on number 3 :) I had a day of mat leave to myself, a single day.  I had a doctors appointment & Zoey went to daycare, so I got more done than I normally would have. Still, a week to myself would have been amazing, but Sadie just couldn't wait...contractions started at 1AM!

Crochet Trim, Times Two

Double crochet trim, tossed together with all sorts of shades of grey.  I spent a little more time getting ready this particular morning, only to stay home from work with a sick toddler :(. I hate seeing our little sick, but cannot tell you how nice it was to snuggle her all afternoon & read book after book to her.  Currently, my lap is twice as full & I couldn't be happier...

Easter 2017

Family Day

Still recapping February over here. Family day long weekend turned out to be a single day weekend as well, so we made the most of it. We snuggled our girl, got a ton done around the house, went for lunch, and played the rest of the afternoon. Time with just us is cherished, especially since the weekdays are so busy.  I stayed cozy in this new oversized sweater from Zara, in the perfect colour for spring...
