Family Day

Still recapping February over here. Family day long weekend turned out to be a single day weekend as well, so we made the most of it. We snuggled our girl, got a ton done around the house, went for lunch, and played the rest of the afternoon. Time with just us is cherished, especially since the weekdays are so busy.  I stayed cozy in this new oversized sweater from Zara, in the perfect colour for spring...

Single Day Weekends

Making the most of a shortened weekend, once again.  Working every Saturday has been a godsend…it makes me that much closer to mat leave again.  I'm finding every excuse to leave the house on Sunday, just so I can get dressed & spend some QT with the fam.  This jacket hasn't gotten much wear lately, so beware...

Holiday Recap: NYE '17

Another low-key New Year's Eve this year, pregnancy will do that to you. It was Zoey's first & although none of us made it until midnight, we made the most of staying in.  We basically lounged in pjs all day, made white hot coco, cleaned up some after Christmas sale arrivals, made an epic surf & turf dinner, & popped some confetti poppers before Zo went to bed.  We're really trying to make this time special for Zoey while she's an only child & create some memories with just her...

Real Talk

Real talk: I cannot believe it's March already.  Since my job description changed drastically after mat leave (read: my position no longer exists), I've been hustling to make enough hours to go back on mat leave again in May.  I no longer get to dress up/wear what I want/use anything in my closet, which is why you've noticed a steady decline in outfit posts & fashion-related content in general.  The work is harder, I'm on my feet more, & I miss nail polish like no other, but I'm tough & willing to do whatever is best for our soon to be family of four.  I've been trying to shoot what I'm wearing on the weekends, a little more dressy than normal…over compensating? Probably, but I really miss getting dressed every day...
