Valentine's Week: A Loveday Lunch

Day Two of Valentine's Week brings us to a casual, yet festive outfit, for a lunch date.  If you've followed along for awhile, you're well aware the Mr. & I prefer day dates over evening ones.  We enjoy making a day out of it, instead of packing it all in in the evening time when it feels more like a 'chore' than a 'choice' to make time for each other.  I chose this outfit for such an occasion because it seemed effortless.  Keeping everything basic really allows for these heart-shaped acrylic earrings to stand out...the perfect statement piece to welcome home baby boy too, don't you agree?

Valentine's Week: Galentine's Coffee Date

It's that special time of the year- Valentine's Week! I've got some pretty low-key looks headed to you this week, mostly because the bump sorta limits what fits these days.  This look is perfect for a quick coffee date with girlfriends (or one that lasts a few hours, spent catching up).  I'm looking forward to the big move so next year, I can hopefully host a 'galentine's girls night in' with wine (lots of wine).  Until then, one coffee & a decaf latte will have to do...

Photo Friday: It's Pawty Time!

Last weekend, we were lucky enough to celebrate our sweet Zoey girl turning three.  Zo is our little miss independent & has been making her own decisions/choices since she could talk (she's quite particular that one).  She's picked her party themes the past two years, opting for a Paw Patrol theme for birthday number three.  She helped me pick out decorations & even selected her own cake design.  We had all of her grandparents & several friends in attendance, which made up for her cousins not being able to join us (sooooo many sports this time of the year).  She was one very spoiled girl & watching her light up made my heart so happy.  This is the last birthday we will celebrate in this house, so it was a little bit emotional & very humbling.

I made it easy on myself this year, minimal decor & nothing homemade (Letter board via Target).
Party favours were in plastic cups & contained snacks, tattoos, party blowers, & mini playpacks (via Amazon).
Zoey's cake :) The only downfall was that there was no Chase vehicle available haha (cake via Zehr's).
Our girl enjoying her cake & ice cream with friends :)
Paw Patrol masks for guests to wear (I had a little bit too much fun with these).
My mom is the best present wrapper around I swear, Zoey was in love with how she did this!
My outfit (thermal via free people).
We decided to get Zo her first bike & she has been riding it around the living room (via Walmart).
3 presents for our three year old.  We held our gifts back a day for her actual birthday :)

Pre-Ice Storm

Pre-ice storm outfit, mostly because suede boots definitely do not work in freezing rain conditions. It's been a slow moving week at our house, I guess we're all still recovering from our three year old's birthday weekend/Superbowl/visitors.  I have soooooo many new arrivals to sort through, as well as some much anticipated things to list for sale (basically everything you've ever seen on this space is up for grabs), which I will get to this weekend! This outfit though....super easy for work/trip to the OB's office/ mommin' around.  I'm bummed to retire this top for a few months, it's such a pretty statement piece that I just can't get enough of.  Layered up for the sub-zero temps Southern Ontario has been enduring, with the exception of this past Monday.
