Think Pink

For those of you who don't know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  I have been incorporating the color pink into my outfit every day for the past several years during this month, even if this only means my nail polish.  Although I have never personally lost anyone to breast cancer, I have lost many relatives & friends to other forms of cancer.  I have been searching for a bubble gum pink blazer for some time now so imagine my surprise when I found one on Etsy just before the month of October began.  Per usual, this Etsy seller was so friendly & helpful :)  I told her I couldn't wait to wear this blazer several times throughout the month to show my support for this deadly disease, which must have inspired her.  Several days later, I received this message from her:

Hi Kelli,
I wanted to let you know that after you sent me a Convo letting me know that you were going to wear this blazer for breast cancer awareness month, I started thinking of how I could involve my shop in cancer awareness.  My decision has been to join the 'Etsy Project Embrace Team' (click HERE to read more) where I can donate proceeds from the shop to cancer awareness or research, as well as support other team members in their efforts. I have done charitable donations in the past and have wanted to make it a more regular part of my shop, but wasn't sure how.  Your message was the catalyst for me actually taking the steps to do something about it. Thank you.
Kind Regards, CrabappleVintage

Wow...how inspiring! It really does only take one person to make a difference in this world. One of my favorite online sites, Shopbop.com, also has a few items for sale that benefit Breast Cancer (Click HERE to see).  I recently purchased the Breast Cancer Awareness Heart Bracelet by Gorjana in which 60% of the proceeds from each bracelet will be donated to Breast Cancer Connections.

L-R (Casio, Urban Outfitters, Express, Gifted, Gorjana)
Blazer (etsy), Grey Shoulder Pad Tee (Forever21), Necklace (Dogeared)
Jeans (BDG for Urban Outfitters), Oxfords (Forever21)
Disk Ring (Banana Republic), Sunglasses (Asos)

Here are some more pink items to help bring awareness to the cause...
*Note: None of the below items actually benefit breast cancer, they are just pink*
