DIY Multi-colored Fur Vest (Isabel Marant)

I have really become attached to my faux fur vests, to the point where I'm wondering what to replace them with come warmer weather.  Not only are they practical during winter, but they seem to instantly add a touch of chicness to any outfit.  You can imagine my thoughts when I saw this multi-colored version a la Isabel Marant....

...which inspired me to create my own version...
Step 1: Took a H&M Kids faux fur vest & removed the hood & ribbed bottom
Step 2: Used masking tape to section off shapes for different colors of spray dye
Step 3: Spray dye drying, front of vest (same done for the back of the vest)
Step 4: Finished project...still needs a bit of combing

  13. Wow so cool! I'm planning on doing something similar myself and was wondering what spray dye you used? And also how it worked to wash the vest since it is a synthetic material, did the dye come off??

    1. Hey Isabella! I used some spray dye I found at Michael's, I don't recall the brand? I never tried washing it as I only wore it a few times since I've made it :) Sorry I can't be more help! Thanks for visiting my blog :)
