She Dreamed of Paradise

Although slightly loud & seasonally inappropriate, these palm tree leggings were necessary to enjoy a brief moment of sunshine last week.  Sunny days have been few & far between as of late & I couldn't think of a better way to take full advantage.  I paired them with an equally loud shade of blue & continued to combine textures, such as leather, silk, & wool.

Shimmery

Got myself some new glittery gold eyeliner & couldn't resist pairing it with my gold foil top (last seen here).  I find this top a little on the dressy side (due to the sparkle factor) & at the last minute, swapped my black cardigan & heels for my denim vest & shearling-lined booties. I really like pairing two things so unexpected together...

Aztec Accessories

I can hardly believe how quickly the weekend seems to pass me by, Monday's always seems to come about all too suddenly. Today I'm wearing two items I have been after for months, only to receive them both for Christmas! I love this Spearhead ring from La Dama & found it to fit perfectly (theme wise) with my Aztec-inspired sweater from Asos.  Believe it or not, I finally needed a break from all those bright colors I've been combining as of late. Just a little warning, you may be seeing a lot more of this sweater, it's unbelievably warm & oh so comfy!

Sparkle Week: Tinsel Time (1)

Since there are only five more days until Christmas (where did the time go?!), I've decided to wear all of my glitziest & sparkliest  pieces in one week.  My first piece of SPARKLE arrived last week, a piece I've had my eye on for awhile. The front of this top is woven gold tinsel, which looks great paired with my cracked metallic leggings.  Love this entire outfit when worn in the sunlight....

Tribal Style

Native-American, ethic, & tribal inspired motifs have been making a comeback, creeping into numerous collections in recent seasons.  I happened to come across these sweater leggings by chance, hopelessly searching for a pair of H&M sweater leggings I couldn't find in stores.  I wasn't very fond of the Aztec print- it just didn't incorporate the same colors as the pair from H&M did.  I couldn't beat the price ($20) or the brand (Gina Tricot), but am I ever happy I bought 'em! I've worn them once before (seen here), but decided to tone the colors down a bit for a simpler version.

Clean Slate

I'm all-about the Contemporary Minimalist trend as of late. I love the fresh, grown-up approach to dressing that this trend allows for & even the current ladylike trend can't satisfy.  Minimal doesn't have to mean dull or boring, but can easily be updated by adding a touch of texture as I have to my outfit with this fur vest gifted to me from a friend.  The vest had a zipper closure up the front & a hood, so I decided to revamp it a bit, what do you guys think?
