Keeping Busy

 After a long run at the gym & an awesome new hair cut, I'm ready to relax.  I ordered some sushi take-out & rented the first season of "True Blood", which I'll watch in-between breaks of sewing.  I'll also be attending one of my best friend's wedding via cellphone tonight...I am so incredibly happy for him to start his new life with her, CONGRATS TO BRIT & BRIAN :) Here are some random pics of my day...

I'm Like A Bird. . .

Although the temperatures don't currently reflect it, fall is here.  I was feeling very fall-like, so I set aside my feather hair clip & pulled this carmine-colored tunic out of my closet, planning to pair it with an ocher-colored cardigan.  That option was too safe, so I grabbed for this turquoise-colored one instead.  I LOVE this color combo, I don't know why I have never paired these two items together before?! Anyone doing anything exciting this weekend? I'll have my place to myself until Sunday so you know what that means...chick flicks & vino with no remorse!  I have a growing pile of clothing I need to alter, which means it's time to dust off my little portable sewing machine & go to work :) I have a hair appointment tomorrow to 'Chop' my hair off (see here for the style) & plan on reorganizing a few closets. Overall, I plan on having a productive, yet relaxing weekend...

To Chop or Not To Chop. . .

In the spirit of Fall & change, I have an urge to do something a bit daring, drastic even.... I have very thin hair to begin with, so having a shorter coif always helps add some volume.  I also am still attempting to get rid of the damage from being bleach blonde not too long ago.  Hmmm...decisions, decisions...

P.S. If anyone knows where I can purchase that DKNY peony print blazer in the first photo, PLEASE tell me! It's from the S/S 2010 line & as far as I know, impossible to find :(  I have  loved it since I saw it on the runway...
